Designed by the architect Julia Morgan, this glamorous estate contains 165 rooms situated on 250,000 acres overlooking the ocean above San Simeon, California. Hearst Castle was known as “La Cuesta, Encantada”, and when translated from Spanish this is “The Enchanted Hill”
